Mae Tania ap Siôn yn arbenigwr addysg grefyddol o Ogledd Cymru sydd wedi bod yn gweithio yn y meysydd hyn ers dros 25 mlynedd, yn arwain a datblygu rhaglenni ar lefel BA, BEd, MA, TAR lefel cynradd ac uwchradd, yn ogystal â lefel gradd ymchwil.

Mae ganddi BA ac MA mewn Diwinyddiaeth o Brifysgol Rhydychen, MA mewn Astudiaethau Crefyddol o Brifysgol Cymru, Bangor, a Doethuriaeth mewn Addysg (yn canolbwyntio ar ddiwinyddiaeth, seicoleg ac addysg) o Brifysgol Warwick. Mae gan ymchwil academaidd Tania berthynas gref ag ymarfer proffesiynol mewn cyd-destunau eglwysig, ysgolion a’r gymuned. Fel ymchwilydd gweithredol mewn crefydd, gwerthoedd ac addysg, mae hi’n cydnabod pwysigrwydd cysylltu ymchwil ag ymarfer addysgol. Yn sail i hyn mae cymhwyster proffesiynol TAR mewn Addysg Grefyddol a Saesneg, ei hordeinio yn offeiriaid Anglicanaidd yn yr Eglwys yng Nghymru, ac aelodaeth weithredol o gyrff cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol sy’n gysylltiedig â chrefydd ac addysg mewn ysgolion a chymdeithas.

Mae Tania wedi dal swyddi academaidd yng Nghymru a Lloegr, yn cynnwys prifysgolion Bangor (1994-2007), Glyndŵr (2011-2015), Warwick (2015-2018), ac ar hyn o bryd (fel Darllenydd Crefyddau, Dyniaethau ac Addysg) ym Mhrifysgol yr Esgob Grosseteste (2018-presennol). Mae hi hefyd yn Gyfarwyddwr Anrhydeddus Canolfan y Santes Fair, Cymru, sef sefydliad ymchwil Anglicanaidd. Yn ychwanegol, mae hi’n Gymrawd Ymchwil Gwadd yng Nghyfadran Ddiwinyddiaeth, Prifysgol Pretoria, De Affrica (2016-presennol) ac yn Athro Gwadd yng Ngholeg Queen’s, Newfoundland, Canada (2017-presennol).

Mae Tania wedi rhoi cychwyn i adnoddau cwricwlwm ar gyfer addysg grefyddol cynradd ac uwchradd yng Nghymru ac wedi chwarae rhan flaenllaw yn natblygiad addysg grefyddol yn y Cwricwlwm i Gymru 2022.

Diddordebau ymchwil

Mae Tania’n ei disgrifio’i hun fel diwinydd empiraidd sy’n gweithio hefyd ym meysydd addysg, seicoleg crefydd, a chymdeithaseg crefydd. Cyfrannodd arbenigedd pwnc a sgiliau mewn methodolegau ansoddol i nifer o brosiectau ymchwil ‘dulliau cymysg’ mawr. Mae ei chyhoeddiadau yn eang eu cwmpas ac yn cynnwys ymchwil sy’n ymwneud â: gweddi a mannau cysegredig; addysg grefyddol; ysgolion ‘ffydd’; profiad crefyddol ac ysbrydol; agweddau pobl ifanc at amrywiaeth grefyddol; damcaniaeth math seicolegol a dehongliadau beiblaidd; crefydd ar-lein; a chrefydd ymhlyg.
